My name is Michajah, Bookworm Brews began with a vision of creating a space where book lovers and coffee enthusiasts could come together to indulge in their favorite pastimes. As a new mom to my beautiful girl named Juliette, I am driven by a deep desire to build a brighter future for my family while pursuing my dreams of owning my own business.
Bookworm Brews isn't just a business for me; it's a labor of love, a manifestation of dedication to creating something meaningful. I have a background in Theatre and Graphic Design, I hope to bring a creative flair to every aspect of Bookworm Brews, from curating the book selection to crafting the perfect cup of coffee. Bookworm Brews is more than just a coffee shop—it's a community hub, a place where people can gather, connect, and escape into the world of literature.
My Story
If you take the time to read this, thank you in advance! I was Raised by a single mother who battled addiction, I faced more challenges in my childhood than most. But despite the odds stacked against me, I didn't let my circumstances define my future. Determined to create a better life for myself, I worked multiple jobs and sacrificed to put myself through college.
College wasn't just about earning a degree for me—it was a lifeline, after facing homelessness and uncertainty. Now, I find myself on the other side of the classroom, not as a student, but as a teacher and mentor at Utah Tech University. As the head of a Makerspace, I have the privilege of helping others turn their ideas into reality, guiding them through the process of creation and innovation.
It's a role I cherish, knowing firsthand the transformative power of education and opportunity.
But now, it's my time. With the skills and knowledge I've acquired over the years, I'm ready to embark on a new journey—one that's entirely my own.
Inspired by my love of literature and coffee, I'm launching Bookworm Brews, a mobile coffee and bookstore that's equal parts passion project and entrepreneurial venture. It's a dream years in the making, a testament to resilience and determination. Now, as I prepare to bring Bookworm Brews to life, I do so with the knowledge that anything is possible with hard work, perseverance, and a little bit of faith in oneself.
